Departmental Purpose

Enforces the municipal code provisions such as animal regulations, business license, and operations permits pertaining to the public welfare. For more information regarding Animal Control, please contact the Utility Department at (903) 489-0699.

Animal Registration

Each year you must register your animal according to Ordinance No.411, Section 90.33 and 90.34. Please be sure to bring the current Rabies Vaccination Certificate along with your payment for each of the following that applies:

Annual Registration

Every dog or cat six (6) months of age or older 5.00 annual fee

Limit of four (4) cats and four(4) dogs

Also, please note you have ten (10) days to register your animal(s).

Failure to Comply with Ordinance #411 shall constitute a Class C misdemeanor, and the offender on conviction thereof, shall be fined not to exceed $ 2000.00
